For some time now, we have been driving forward developments to optimise and expand our portfolio of nonwoven rollers for the metal industry. Our focus has been particularly on the development of a nonwoven that meets the demanding requirements in strong acid environments, such as those found in pickling plants in the steel industry.
These applications are characterised not only by the need for acid resistance, but also by the requirement for high resistance to mechanical wear. Finding the optimum balance between these two properties was a challenge.
With our latest material, VNP12D, we have achieved a promising compromise that not only offers maximum acid resistance, but also impressive robustness against mechanical stress. This development opens up numerous new possibilities for innovative applications in the metal industry.
