Innovation at FKM Walzentechnik: The patented suction and pressure hoses can now also be stabilised with rings made of polyurethane (PU). Usually, steel rings or steel spirals were used to stabilise the cross-section in case of negative pressure or to prevent hoses from kinking.
The new rings made of hard PU have the advantage that, on the one hand, they guarantee the flexibility of the hose. On the other hand, they are much easier to dispose of because the hose body and the rings are both made of PU. When disposing of them, only the flange connections have to be cut off; the entire rest of the hose body is plastic waste. There is no need for the time-consuming removal of the steel from the rubber. Good for the environment with maximum flexibility – that is what distinguishes our Riboflex hoses!
